You’re a german student and you want to inform your pen friend who’s living in Wales about an article you read in the New York Times. You’re very concerned about his health and want to warn him about inaccurate food hygiene ratings.

EMail: An undercover BBC investigation revealed that many businesses in England and Wales have displayed inaccurate food hygiene ratings.
These ratings, provided by the Food Standards Agency (FSA), are meant to ensure customers that food safety standards are met. However, secret filming revealed that, from small local restaurants to a supermarket chain, some businesses were lying about their ratings. This could be considered fraud because places were intentionally leaving incorrect ratings visible. Businesses that were confronted reacted differently. Some denied any deliberate deception, while others remained silent. A Sainsbury’s supermarket had shown a high hygiene rating of five, but in reality, it had a score of zero due to serious hygiene issues.
Food safety experts believe this is a widespread problem across the UK, with multiple places misleading the public about their hygiene standards.
