You’re a german student and you want to inform your pen friend who’s living in Wales about an article you read in the New York Times. You’re very concerned about his health and want to warn him about inaccurate food hygiene ratings.

An undercover BBC investigation showed that some food businesses in England and Wales are not telling the truth about their hygiene ratings.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) gives these ratings to show how clean and safe a place is and how it handles food. But some places were lying. They were showing better ratings than they had. For example, a Sainsbury’s supermarket said it had a score of five, but the truth was that it had a zero because of serious problems.
Experts said this is happening in many other places, too. When journalists asked about it, some businesses denied it, and others didn’t say anything at all. Food experts say this problem is usual across the UK.
